I will answer the most frequently asked questions from applicants as follows:

  1. Admission forms?
    1. The attached admission form, when completed, should be sent immediately by e-mail to info@stluke.edu or by fax to +1-323-372-3757, without delay. Do not wait to send your transcripts or letters of recommendation unless you already have them in hand.
    2. You should then pay your application fee, either by direct deposit, or www.paypal.com. Your application will be processed; however, you will not receive official approval and acceptance until receipt of your application fee.
    3. At that time you can mail your transcripts and recommendation letters to the St. Luke office. As we expect honesty in our students, we do not expect to see transcripts with significant differences from the applications.
  1. Methods of payment of application fee?

a) Credit Cards: Payment can be made by credit card (MasterCard or VISA), online at http://www.paypayl.com. Please create a PayPal account. Then make a payment to St. Luke School of Medicine using info@stluke.edu as the payment e-mail address.

  1. Accommodations?

a) The accommodations depend on what lifestyle you are accustom to. I can tell you from my own experience that the range is wide and I will briefly attempt to explain the options:

Apartment close to SLSOM

$50 - $300 per month +

House close to SLSOM

$100 - $600 per month +

Live with Family close to SLSOM

$50 - $250 per month

room + board

Single room in house

$50 - $200 per month

room only

Hotel room

*$45/night to $200/night

Hotels are expensive

*Metropolitan Plaza Hotel

(Broad St, near Immigration Office)

$1200 - $1500 per month depending on size of room.

Highly recommended $45-$65 (or less) per day for St. Luke Students.

These arrangements can be made very easily. I do have students who are paying as little as $10 per month for a single room; however, it is certainly not adequate accommodations for most medical students. It is what that student can afford.

Please notify a week in advance for you arrival at Monrovia Airport, so that proper arrangements can be made.
